
On-Site Training
Our program is designed with the busy workplace in mind. We offer one and two hour presentations that can be done as a brown-bag lunch setting or a formal staff meeting.
At the end of our training the participants will have learned:
- Basic knowledge of the Deaf and Deaf culture
- The benefits of working with the Deaf
- Simple every day signs to use when communicating with the Deaf
- General information on the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act
- Tax incentives available to the organization for hiring the Deaf

A reference manual that will include:
- Answers to many questions that often arise when interacting with the Deaf
- A list of organizations that have additional information on the Deaf, as well as, Deaf services.
- Websites to Federal, State and local groups that provide Deaf links, litigation settlements, accommodation requirements and much more
- A glossary of terms commonly used
- A list of popular books, videos and educational tools
